Watching a minority of Alliance players killing H*rde as an underdog was just hysterical. I believe that Alliance is the best faction in PVE and PVP even to this day.

That's not what I was asking, there's been private servers in the past where the servers were hosted in Russia but the creators of the server actually lived in Germany, America, France, etc.
But this modern trend of mega private servers (5K+ online pop at all times) are all created/owned by Russians.
Ascension seeming to have their hands in almost everything, as well as Torta/Shenna creating a bunch of other servers before Turtle, and Warmane having a monopoly on Wrath, and nearly every big WoW private server having a cash shop

It just makes me wonder if they're all secretly owned by the same people or some silly shit and there's some monopoly scheme going on to generate as much money as possible while covering every WoW-related niche (vanilla, vanilla+, custom, WoTLK, seasonal/PvP, etc) and pretending to be completely different projects.
