It being a portable turbografx was actually preferable to it having its own library imo.
For one thing, if you were already a TG6 owner the library you already owned worked on your portable console. That's not a bad thing. And while there were some good handheld games being made at this time most of them were just gimped versions of console games. So a handheld that could play actual console games was going to give you an overall better library.
One of my many personal tragedies is that I was one of the twenty people in North America to have a TG16 but was too much of a poorfag to also afford the CD add-on or the Express.
