I use ,,it'' instead because it makes sense to me. I know it might be strange for americans, but I never saw any nonbinary people and for me it is the same abstraction as shooting in the middle of the city or trans or gender identity.
But who cares? Kris doesn't exist and even if you call Kris ,,she'', it's not like this is some huge crime. I think the likelihood of certain death and a broken family are more devastating than some words that did not even aim to offend.
