>not a gem but not a hit either
So you just want dogshit? wat
Lmao
I mean there’s plenty of mid-tier games around, what really separates the obscure games from the mainstream, at least for me is the level of experimentation they got on the table, if they had some wack idea that they know would never sell on the store but they still wanted to do it bc the idea had never been done before, then that’s the type of stuff I’m interested in
Here’s my personal shortlist
>Scanner Sombre
Kinda horror game where you navigate with a LIDAR
>Scavenger SV-4
Mine a desolate planet with remote drones, its awkward and isolating and you never know what you’re gonna haul back
>Exorcist: Reviewer of Minds
Roguelike deciphering game with a bunch of demons who’s possessed your patient, gotta use logic to figure out their weaknesses
>Dungeon Manager ZV: Resurrection
Manage a dungeon, bait heroes with a juicy artifact and whittle them to bits, rinse repeat, simple clean fun
>DinoSystem
You’re a caveman in the Triassic, your stats like calories and muscle mass are tracked autistically while you try and not get your ass trampled by a stegosaur
>ECHO
Survive a whole megastructure worth of puzzles to save your bf who’s been turned into a cube, oh and said megastructure copies and learns your every move
>Slasher’s Keep
Daggerfall dungeoneering without ever booting up Daggerfall
>Oyabu Clinic Deathcare Corporation
Comedy JRPG, play as a quack where you misdiagnose elderly patients with the intention of killing them and racking up fees
>Burnhouse Lane
Spiritual successor to Cat Lady, cuz it’s got similar premise, but is miles ahead of execution
>Tokyo 42
Think Syndicate x GTA for the gameplay, you’re a contract killer trying clear your name
>Tokyo Warfare Turbo
Tanks and anime girls, what do I gotta explain? Plays a lot like Battlefield
>Crime Boss Rockay City
Don’t sleep on this one, it’s Payday with a decent roguelike city manager twist, RIP Madsen
Enjoy ig
