There's an entire anti-Taishin counter strat involving Urara though. So if you see lots of Uraras running around, it's solely to fuck Taishin over. Golshi will still be really strong, notice how she's right behind him. Golshi will be winning a LOT, much like the last CM, but even moreso without Oguri hogging the spotlight.

Whenever people praise it it's always "bro it's hype as af ong fr fr" and then they fail to mention that the main character is a quirky retarded mary sue that wins almost every race the exact same way, and that all the other characters stop existing after they move to Tokyo. The new Tokyo students literally have no personality despite their designs and only serves to spout exposition. They tell the viewers that Oguri is close friends with Ardan, Chiyono and the rest but they barely even interact with each other.

Belno, March and Kitahara were all functioning characters but then they got shafted by a bunch of puppets. The one character that gets the most development is fucking Rudolf for whatever reason, with March coming in at second. All the while they're busy jerking off Oguri winning yet another race for the 69th time.

I trained up a weird Nice Nature today bros, shit kinda freaked me out. Only was meant to be a parent but I might but her in some races. She won pretty much every G1 I threw at her.

Umamusume has a problem, and it's that there are way too many fucking characters and not enough time to showcase all of them in any given season, ova, or Movie. Every single iteration has had this problem, but I don't think that's enough to bring down Cinderella Gray as an experience because the focus isn't on her friends. It's on Oguri, and a Mary Sue would imply Oguri doesn't train hard. That's not the case at all. The entire show drives the point home from the very beginning. She's showing up to class in her dusty ass tracksuit because all she does is run. She takes training more seriously than literally anyone else in that entire school. It's not like she doesnt have moments where she's challenged, but clearly Oguri was too big for the dirt tracks and gets into Tracen. Developing Rudolf as a character IS interesting, she's one of the most important characters in the show and shows us a window into the upper workings of her superiors, the ones calling the shots.

I've watched a lot of anime, and I took a break from it for quite a while. Most of what I've seen would be considered classics, and I've watched some kind of middle of the road shows as well. Cinderella Gray is really well done. If you're going into it expecting it to be all about Oguri's friends, I don't think that's what it's about. The relationship Oguri has with her trainer is a lot more interesting.

Yes you should definitely be in a club. It doesnt matter if you're a C rank so long as you play the game semi regularly, as in dont go inactive for weeks. Just do a career every now and then, post shoes for 100 club points a day (which gets you free SSR cards like the McQueen everyone is using for CMs right now). Clubs also give you a bunch of carats at the end of the month too. It's free money you're missing out on, join a club.

It's more about which card you borrow than anything. You can easily get to A with just SR cards. I'd read up on some strategy because you might not be playing your career efficiently. Having legacy umas with blue sparks also helps for stat boosts.

This doc covers literally everything you need to know, there's a section about getting A umas with "bad" cards, skim through it. Or read it in full. It's a lot but take your time

That's exactly the problem. You say that it focuses on Oguri but they barely do anything with her except for showing snippets of her training during the Kasamatsu arc. And the first half in general is much better than the last half of the show because of all the characters that bounce off of her.

I legitimately don't remember anything about the Tracen arc besides the Rudolf scenes which are admittedly well done, enough to make her my favorite trainee now that I'm playing the game. I vaguely remember there being a summer holiday episode which I thought would be a nice break from the non-stop (and all samey) races but then it got cut short to show another fucking race where Oguri wins. There's so many cool looking characters they introduced in the second half and they just... did nothing with them. It was baffling. The Kasamatsu bully trio had more relevance than any of them despite being real fake horses.

I get it. She's good. She trains a lot. That was already shown in the first half. Get on with it. They have some elements of her game version in it but they're isolated to just gag and humor aspects like being fat and getting lost. She was a bit aimless at the start until she set her sight on the Tokai Derby thanks to Kitahara and March, which was good but it kinda just stops there as the goalposts keep moving from one race to the next.

I guess it's not fair to say that the whole show sucks when my beef is really after they transfer to Tokyo, but everyone keeps jerking off on the show to the point where it comes off as baffling to me. Again, I heard that things get shaken up a bit in S2 and I'm looking forward to that but S1 was just kinda ok to me. Which makes me a bit hesitant to watch the other shows if this is the greatest thing since sliced bread for most of the fanbase.

Oguri and Matifuku can work, oguri in particular willl always be a strong pick but you do need 3 recoveries. I don't think illusionist would be great this race because your main threat will be end closers which would be behind you. Whether you do 4/2 or 3/3 depends on your legacies or support cards but generally 4/2 is better because MLB creek can easily carry the stamina game

Do not do this.

4 speed 2 stam is better than 3-3 because speed is the most important stat, assuming your stamina needs are met. Some characters might have a harder time building stamina. Some characters like Goldship have a 20% stamina increase while training, so they can to it easier. The reason you run more speed cards is because you're always aiming for as much speed as possible while having just enough of every other stat.

An end closer is less reliant on stamina than a pace chaser. It can afford to skimp on stamina and invest more in speed. If you have two racers with the same amount of stamina, assuming they dont gas, the one with more speed wins. That's why 4-2 beats 3-3. I've gotten to max speed on Golshi/Special Week because of their fast stamina growth with just two stamina cards, but today I was training Grass Wonder and it was impossible to build up her stamina, I want 3-3 for her. You just got see what works and get lucky. But when you see Super Creek in Stamina rainbows, prioritize that for this race. Go for speed training when the rainbows are juicy, but you need to make sure your stamina is hitting the right benchmarks. Training stamina during summer camp is also another way people get it up faster, because it's hard to level up stamina training normally and summer camp all training is at level 5.

Right is technically faster. They should give you similar performance though, I'd go right. The S is 10.5% boost to your speed, giving you about 990 speed on the left. Right has more stamina too, abilities comparable but right slightly better. Your firm conditions (2) gives you 60 power, so right is still technically more powerful. Long straightaways is really good but I don't think it's enough to make it faster than the right. They're likely close in performance, but right gets the edge.

There are definitely series of careers where my luck plays out horribly, but honestly I think I've gotten way better of salvaging what could possibly be a dicey situation before. These days my cards are mostly the same but Im getting better results just due to making better choices in-game. Sometimes the game just fucks you though, dont take it too seriously.

I can do 480k+ fans a run no problem but I'd kill for a comprehensive loop guide per Uma. Setting up the next career parents/grandparents for any given run makes my eyes spin when I have 30+ options spread over affinity, skill points and sparks. The "meta" skills change depending on the track. Red Shift and Shooting to Victory were broken for the last race. They're practically useless here. Oguri's triumphant pulse is okay, so is Rudolf's and Mejiro ryans. Those five abilities remain consistently useful, some more so than others depending on the track. Right now though it's straightaway spurt that's the busted acceleration ability, and its end closer only. Where the skill activates is what determines its effectiveness, and how the track is designed determines when the skill will proc.

GUTS is emergency stamina. When you run out of stamina, you pretty much die. Your guts is that emergency tank to prevent you from dying. That's why in this race, they're recommending slightly more guts (around 400+). Normally, if your guts is around 300 or so that's good enough. It's not a stat or card you need to run or should run unless you have a very specific goal in mind.

Also by training stamina, your guts will get trained alongside with it, at a lesser rate. By the time you get your stamina to where you need to be, your guts will likely be at an acceptable level, so you don't really need to worry about it too much. Just consider guts stamina insurance. Stacking far beyond 400 doesn't really do a whole lot, but for this race it might help a little bit. You'll need to dump most of your resources into stamina and speed though, and sprinkling on a little bit of wit training when it makes sense

It's a lot of info at first but it seems more complex than it really is.

I'll give as quick and simple of a summary as I can.

You have trainee umas. These are the umas you train up to race. You play through career mode with them. This is a story mode. It goes through the first three years of their career. There are events that happen along the way and many races you have to complete.

At the end of a career, you get what's called a "veteran uma", this is used later to be the legacy or as some call them, parents of a future trainee.

Still with me?

The other thing that you bring into career mode are support cards. This is your deck of cards. Speed cards, power cards, etc. Depending on who you choose, it will give you different stats and abilities throughout your career. These support cards also have events and stories of their own.


When you start a new career with the same trainee, it starts over from the very beginning again. In that sense it's like a "roguelite", every run you start from the beginning, but at the end you get a little souvenir that makes you stronger on the next time you run.

In the gacha, you either roll for trainees (the umas you train up) or you roll for support cards. You may be tempted to blow everything on trainees, but what's really important in this game is support cards. The trainees they start you out with are good, and so are many of the "common" ones you can get from a few rolls.

Well from what I can tell, since month change there's only been 4 vocal clubs, and all of which have filled up any vacancies: /v/ma, /v/mapyoi, der/v/, and Oy Neigh.

Of the other two, HorseMD and /v/ooners, a few anons have had trouble even finding those clubs and no representatives have spoken from them, so I'm not sure on how active they are or if they even exist. There was /herse/, but I'm pretty sure it's dead now. Still, 4/4 confirmed active and full is 120+ anons from /v/ alone, likely more spread out in the other clubs.

The reality is most toreinas are like you: more middle of the road players who play at their own pace. That is okay! You dont need to sweat your ass off to enjoy the game. It can be enjoyed on a hyper casual level, a hyper competitive level, or somewhere in between, as far or as little as you want to take it. Team trial is pure rng hell, there's not much to be learned there. My long umas regularly lose because they're built for 3000m+ races with high stamina and whatever speed, then the RNG throws 2500m long and I lose to some 800 stamina horses with 1200 speed. Add in mood, weather, skills etc.
