Anybody here into Druidry?

It seems to be the official /out/ religion. It's all about worshipping rivers, trees and everything else that pertains to nature.

Just recently they celebrated the Autumn equinox, which is the beginning of Autmn when the Earth's axis lay perpendicular to the sun.

A most fascinating religion.

If you aren't a part of it, why haven't you taken the druid pill yet?

Palisades arsonist arrested Archived /out/
Jonathan Rinderknecht caused about a quarter trillion dollars worth of damage and killed at least a dozen people with a barbeque lighter that couldn't have costed more then like 20 dollars.

Why are these types of crimes so rare? There's tens of thousands of people who commit suicide every year in the USA and hundreds of thousands of homeless people. I'm not trying to encourage more violence or crime just curious why these types of stories are so rare

The thing I was afraid the most happened today. I had to take a shit in the forest. Holy fuck. I got explosive diarrhea 6 miles into a 12 mile hike, and I didn't have any toilet paper, I had to use all my water to clean my ass, prior to this I had never pooped in the forest, I was legitimately shaking from the anxiety. It was watery diarrhea so it was easy to wash away with all my water but fuck, I had to use my underwear to make sure my butt was dry afterwards then I had to throw it away. I had to walk the rest of the hike without water and smelling like shit because when I was washing my ass some water kept dripping down my legs, fuck my life, it was so awkward, but not as bad as I thought, I feel like I could actually do it just fine next time if I was prepared. Getting off trail was the scarier part, I came across this big ass spider that looked like a black widow, but I was in such rush I just smashed it with my trekking pole and kept looking for a spot to poop.

/out/ings with a pipe Archived /out/
Last thread >>2827097

>how to get started
Purchase a corn cob pipe (or a cheap briar pipe) and a pouch of Half and Half or Captain Black tobacco from a smoke shop or online. You will need a lighter or match, and something to tamp it with--a large nail works well if you don't have a pipe tool. Fill the pipe with tobacco, pack it down halfway, top it off, pack it down to 3/4, top it off again, pack gently and enjoy. Smoke slower than you think you need to, the tobacco tastes best when it is burning cool. Tamp and re-light as needed. If you still have trouble, try different methods on YouTube until you find one that works for you.

>smoking a pipe will give you cancer
Originally the Surgeon General found that pipe and cigar smokers, following a careful study of the statistics (at a time when most adults smoked, so they had a good sample size), had insignificant death rate increases. Nowadays, tobacco is being legislated against while hard drugs are being legalised. Put two and two together. Tobacco is just another good thing under attack by the government.

All tobacco users welcome. Stoners will be taken to Singapore and caned.

In Russia people build these small cabins in the woods without any permits. It's not really illegal but it's not legal also but the forest service don't really mind even though they have all rights to destroy them. It's kind of a grey area when it comes to law about them. And people use fallen trees to make logs for it( can't cut wood in Russia without permission). It's not a private property and anyone can stay in them when they want or need to spend the night of they are too tired to get home. They have wood burning stoves and can be a real life saver when it's cold, you can find some dry food and firewood inside left from the previous visitor and they expect you to do the same if possible for the next guy that comes there. Nothing fancy and not all of them are in their best shape but it's much better than a tent. Not sure about other countries but it's a big NO NO in the west. Also most of them are miles deep into the woods so the local bums can't get there easily and make a mess. Just thought I'd share it.

Some video of some Russian guy doing this .

I'm looking for the basics on what any rider should know, maybe some tips on maintenance, or what gear he'd be wearing. Really anything that comes to mind. picrel is a little "cover' I made for it. The "monster" of the story is a mountain lion.

Camping culture in the US Archived /out/
How is the camping culture in the USA ?

Here in the EU, we have many Belgian, Dutch, German, British and French people buying big caravans/campers and evading their shitty weather by spending 6 months on the Mediterranean or Atlantic coasts.
Sometime they also go in the Alps when summer is too hot.

There's also the occasional hikers/cyclers doing a multi weeks pilgrimage/hike and sleeping in tents but they're not common.

The campsites are either municipal or private, some of them only have electricity, pitches and showers. Some of them also have restaurants, bars and grocery stores. There is always someone at the front desk, these areas mostly aren't automated.

The people are usually retirees with enough money to afford such vehicles. How does it work in the USA ?
