No, he would've loved to, but he knows something horrible will happen if he does. In fact, it actually happens on Snowgrave route. He's not an autist, he's a coward who thinks too much of consequences instead of pursuing his love blindly.

Despite my Krusie folder growing to 400 images already, I still hold hope for Kriselle. it's too tragic and beautiful to not have a good outcome.

I think I figured it out. The final piece of prophecy is Girl killing Kris.
Kris was depressed and suicidal after Dessapearance and his family breaking apart, that's why he got roped into this plan - "If you're going to die, at least die saving the worlds"
This explains why he is so uncomfortable around Noelle - she is his future killer, after all.
This explains Snowgrave - he is supposed to condition Noelle for his own murder.
This explains why Ralsei was hoping that Prophecy will change if they switch the Girl and make her kind.
This explains Susie's reaction - she was genuinely shocked about it (she thought that Prophecy is a good thing), but she quickly found a cope - after all, there's no way in hell she would kill her best friend?

Probably when you talk about taking Noelle to the festival in chapter 3. Kris is supposed to already know that it is a bad idea, he was distancing himself from her all these years, but Ralsei spells it out nonetheless.

I'm not even talking about compatibility and chemistry and other shipfag bullshit, I'm talking about actual story tropes and beats. It is intentionally written as if the entire universe is conspiring to keep them apart, and they must fight against the odds and defy the fate itself to be together, nothing less is acceptable.

We must fight back against this. No more doe rapes, we don't want to make her and Kris sad, we want to see them being happy, and you can't be happy after the rape.
