Terrible story, rehashing Amaurot for a third fucking time, extremely shitty worldbuilding for Tural, more job homogenization. Yeah the combat encounters were fun but I got snapped out of my investment in the game because the MSQ was legitimately torturous to play through. They need to fire Kate and Hiroi (into the sun) and slap YoshiP for a few weeks until he realizes he done fucked up real good
I might have resubbed for a bit had I not seen the post launch BLM changes. The changes were already shit with 7.0 making the rotation feel extremely clunky to play but it sounds even worse now

dawntrail aka 7.0 has the worst story of any game i've played in a long time. You have to help and incompetent fool become a leader of a land called Tural, and the villains are cartoonishly bad. The changes to the Jobs have not been good either, they've been neutered and dumbed down to let shitters play the game but at the same time they release content so difficult you're forced to join a discord server. There are alot of videos on youtube explaining the situation better than i ever could, so check those out

I remember thinking this expansion would be all political machinations because an entire fucking continent (or two) being entirely held together by the strength of will of a single man is a hysterically unstable political structure and 80 fucking years is a long time for resentments and subterfuge to foment
But no. The closest we get is the Mamookers throwing babies in a blender because the current leader (who is literally one of them) doesn't care enough to help them because they don't want to leave their home and move to the city
Or the three racist giants who actually tried to keep us from helping them only for a random bird to come out of nowhere so Wuk could save them and they'd stop being racist for 5 minutes, ensuring we never actually had to have a real confrontation
