Last night I couldn't sleep and thought on the whole "Deltarune was going to have everyone be humans until they entered the dark world, then they turn into monsters" thing and I have to wonder how long that concept actually existed or applied, especially to the Holidays.

Even in the concept art he's shown, everyone is drawn as Monsters except for Kris, Noelle being the one closest to looking like an actual human, almost being a "monster girl that's just an anime girl with small bits added"

Makes me wonder just how "anime" the Holidays were before and if the whole idea was they're weird Holiday style ninjas, which is why they'd be so anime-stylized, have katanas, shurikens, and as Noelle jokes in her blog have the "Holiday ninjutsu style".
Were they always like that is what I wonder. It would be funny if in the "Humans to Monsters in dark world" version, all that changed for Noelle is she went from "Anime girl" to "Animal girl with reindeer features"

Thinking about this also made me realize the Holidays are literally obsessed with December.

He showed off a few files from when he was first drafting deltarune, which revealed susie's name was always "Susie", meaning her UT counterpart being "Suzy" is an intentional choice not a last second change, and we got more concept art

The empty space in this "less censored" Toby art is 100% more Kris faces, what do you think Kris' first visible words will be? (and/or what do you think these faces could possibly reveal that would make him feel the need to censor them?)

He's not doing any art either, Temmie did most of Undertale and he has entire team of susellefags working on Deltarune. His own concept art is just doodles, he is working on writing and music instead.
