Don't know but i can tell you how i fixed Rise for myself by modding in a reddit tier post
1.Capped all healing items to 1 except ancient potion which you get 2..1 to pop to top off your health and stamina..you get 10 gourmet fish because it's a slow heal over time
2.companions are invincible in base game..so i nerfed their fucking damage to damn near null and boosted their defense and resist thus preventing them from wasting any sort of healing bullshit on themselves because they can't die..now they just serve as a distraction to the monster and healing support
3..nerfed the shit out of weapon damage and armor defense..added defense boost on weapons that feel like they need it "lance,sword and shield etc.." and lowered defense by a - % for big hitting weapons -25 for great swords and -35 for hammers..more risk and reward
4.liner difficulty scaling across all monsters and upped their challenge by 5x..village monsters starting in low rank are as much of a threat as late high rank upping into starting g-rank for high end village monsters "tigrex magna almud"
5.restored the healing flex thus fixing and bringing back classic MH while also restoring the paintball by using the kunai as a painting mechanic
