honestly...i don't think Archer operated on faith of the heart. it often seemed like more like lack of a brain.

You can't excuse the shitting upon of an entire cool Star Trek race because you like Jeffrey Combs. I love Shran and I hate what Enteprise did with Andorians and cemented into Trek lore.

THE VERY LAST episode of Enterprise where anon claims Archer is literally Kirk involves him getting entangled in the personal affairs of a guy who has lied to and tricked him multiple times, lecturing his first officier about rightfully not trusting this person, and ultimately resulting in the death of his chief engineer. inb4 it was all a holodeck story that didn't happen FUCK YOU

Archer should be fucking shot in the head I actually fucking hate him he is the worst Star Trek captain there could ever possibly be.

nah, Andorians beefing with Vulcans was actually good stuff. they should have kept around that blue K'ehleyr character. And Shran has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the overall conceit and concept and direction they went in for the race. the overall vision left much to be desired.

man, it doesn't get any better. this show had a really good premise i dunno how it became such a mess. they had no good ideas for overarching stories. so just make it episodic then? why not?

you know how there's been like multiple times when Daniels pulls Archer aside and is like "Archer no you can't do this dangerous mission yourself. You have to send one of the expendable crew members to do it you're too important to the timeline." I just can't find the words to articulate how much I hate this. Like, Archer being a Chosen One. Like I really am supposed to take seriously that the Federation won't form without this bumbling fuck literal joke of a captain being the lynchpin? I don't like feeling this way about a Starfleet captain, like actual disdain for the idea that any one of them in particular would be so instrumental to something that important, but especially Archer. he doesn't deserve it. but it's not my fault the show has so far portrayed him the way it has. maybe if it was Kirk or Picard or something I could buy it but not this guy. and don't tell me it's faith of the heart. Faith of the Heart is not something special that only Archer has, every other captain in Trek had it but they weren't also dumb as rocks.
