I'm selectively smart. To put it more aptly: I don't consider myself an intelligent person, I consider myself a perceptive person. I will never be a nuclear physicist, I can't perform complex mathematics entirely in my head, sometimes I'm more dense than a neutron star. What I AM good at is noticing things and picking them apart; anything which is commonly accepted should be questioned in good faith, making assumptions based upon experience is a given, but propagating assumptions from others is dangerous-bordering-suicidal.
