It's not going to click for everyone. The atmosphere, music and worldbuilding are top-notch. The game first appears to be about solving a murder mystery, but if you go in with just that expectation you're going to be sorely disappointed. The dialogue is memorable and humorous at times. Some midwits claim to love it while they stroke their chins and nod thinking that the game only praises their political ideology, meanwhile it's blatant political satire and it takes no sides either way.
If you're looking for pure gameplay, it's obviously not going to be very good, as it's more of an old-school RPG or even arguably a VN. I really liked it but I can see why others don't.
