This game is dogshit if you don't have nostalgia for it. And if you have nostalgia for it, you are low IQ.

I think this game revolutionized the FPS genre more than any other and is still the game most people think of when they hear the term "first person shooter".

Man, this is fucking rough. Didn't Max Payne come out around the same time on the same console? Even the Xbox version of that was so much more fun than this, way better level design, atmosphere, writing, gunfeel, etc.

You cannot possibly argue that Halo is good. Microsoft is forced to keep making Halo games because there's a huge audience of gen Xers/early millennial casuals who played toddlers first FPS on their xbox and nostalgia is one hell of a drug.

Can you imagine anything sadder than being a developer forced to work on a fucking Halo game? Even CoD developers have more freedom to try things out.

Is it just the master chief collection being made by unreal 5 Indians or was halo 1 always this shit? Why does the movement feel like shit? Why are the vehicle levels worse than hl2s airboat parts? Any difficulty under legendary is boring piss easy and legendary takes two magazines of magnum rounds to the head for elites.

No wonder xbox sold barely more than the gamecube, it's shit with barely any games.

I was born in 1999 and never played this game, although I did play Halo Reach in 2011. Currently playing through the campaign. Holy fuck, it's SO bad. I have spent hours fighting through copied and pasted tunnels, fighting the same copied and pasted enemies. What went so wrong with millennials / gen-x that they would call this game a masterpiece? I sure hope the following games don't have such awful campaigns, because I got the whole Master Chief Collection.

I am seething every time I play more of this game. It's so unbelievably shit.
