Ralsei takes pride in his appearance. Showing his face is the foundation of his individuality, and his resolve to defy The Prophecy - The Prince from the Dark is supposed to stay hidden in that cloak, remember?
If you tell Kris to imply that Ralsei looks too similar to Asriel, Ralsei will not back down, the same Ralsei who takes you throwing his manual in the garbage or beating him up in effigy in stride. If Ralsei's own appearance was part of the same pattern of appealing and submission to Kris and Susie, he would just put the hat back on. But he won't do that. This is where he draws the line. You can't deny him his self.
All that said, Ralsei looking like that and having that name isn't a coincidence. Take a step back for a second, who do you REALLY think is supposed to find those qualities appealing?
