Everyone I have ever met who served in the US military has been irrevocably broken. Whether they were a paper pusher in the states, a mechanic in okinawa, or a grunt in syria, they have all been incredibly mentally broken. I don't know what the military does to people once they get in but no one, absolutely NO ONE gets out in one piece.

I wouldn't mind it either, it makes for a good story after all. But the fact we can't win a single war or put on a stupid parade really makes me question what the point even is. The worst part is that I recently fell for a USMC vet and it made me realize just how fucked the whole thing actually is.
