What will happen to the major achievements of 20th century photography if no one is claiming it? Is this also a sign of woke times? Now ethics matter more than art or truth? Isn't it a given that an artist needs to have giant balls if he want to make good work? How street photography is different from realism in art? Is the description of someone by writer is more "unethical" than the photograph of some person? Why are zoomers afraid of reality?

I was attending anime con two weeks ago and I would like to dump some (primarily) stage photos and ask for suggestions on improvement. Somewhere around year ago I made similar thread and got many valuable suggestions so I figured out I could ask again. Despite trying to apply more of your advices, I feel like I did rather mediocre this year, compared to previous one, however. But I would like to hear your opinion too.

I remember that photo dump threads are generally welcome here but if not, just say so. Thanks in advance for any advice. If you want, I could upload RAW files for selected photos on temporary link like catbox or something.

I didn't think much of it at first. My screen just turned dark blue, and for a moment, I thought it was just a glitch. But then it lingered. It didn't go away, no matter what I did. I restarted the device, checked the cables, but nothing worked. The screen stayed this eerie shade of deep blue, like it was trying to tell me something. I took this photo without editing it. It's exactly how it looked at the time.

I didn't think anything of it, until strange things started happening. My devices—phones, computers—began acting odd. Apps crashing. Pages flickering. And that same dark blue screen appeared again. This time, it was different. It felt… alive. Like something was on the other side, waiting to come through.

Have you ever seen this happen? Or is it something far worse?

Sometimes thinking that we are in the middle of cosmic space on a gigantic flying piece of land is bizarre, it doesn't make sense, Madness and sanity are different.

I want to film a Timelapse of a plane trail, contrail, chemtrail, whatever it may be. Just to show that they are turning clear sunny days, into a haze. Not quite overcast but a light haze enough to cover the entire sky.
I have witnessed trails starting small; as you would see coming from the plane, and slowly grow and grow. They don’t disappear; just getting wider and wider until it all blends into one big hazy sky.
I’m going to assume wide angle is the best lens.
As for location is the top of mountain going to be my best bet?

largeformat chads, monorail users specifically, what is your tripod setup? I have a chunky set of legs, and currently i've just been bolting it straight to the monorail which works, but as you can imagine is limiting in terms of any sort of adjustments, outside of fiddling with the legs. I guess, what heads have you found work for your big chunky cameras? Looking at one of picrel but i don't want to buy a dud.

GoPro just came out with yet another expanded camera lineup. They just can’t figure it out. Gangly clunky design, big wide bodies, lens always off to one side so in-water usage wobbles, no good way to mount it safely to a helmet so it doesn’t break your neck when you crash, of but you know what everyone will want, a Session 6 finally after a decade of waiting since the Session 5? NOPE, another dumb 360deg fisheye camera, but this time in 8k for when you really gotta have even bigger distorted nauseating footage. Plus another clunky blogging camera. Yay! It’s like camera companies bitch about the camera market sucking balls but then flood it with unattractive products and go back to wringing hands & moaning. First company to beat the 2015 Session 5 wins. FFS DJI & even Polaroid had a start at it, but then shit the bed.

took a jumpship cruise a few months ago, went planetside in adaven to visit sal sagev. gonna dump some images. you may need to adjust your VCI since there were two stars, not to mention the radiation. pretty standard 3 "day" excursion, I won't bore you with too many things you've seen before hopefully.

Thread Question: To what extent do you digitally edit your film scans?

What are your favorite Lightroom presets to work with? I have a hard time finding something because they either turn the photo in a depressive nightmare with dull dark colors or they change skin colors to yellow. Looking for something more vibrant, happy with punchy colors and still natural, not overprocessed.

How often do you all go through your digital files and purge? I look back and realize a lot of my digital photos are unnecessary garbage, it amazes me how when i shoot film I take high quality photos I want, whereas when I review my digital shots I end up cringing that I even took a large majority of the pictures

Do you guys purge your digital shots often?
Do you find yourself reflecting back at how awful some photos are that you took and unnecessary such as landscapes and random street photography? or even people you don't even interact with anymore
