there isn't enough time in this accelerated world to get the god parent uma that everyone is chasing, and remember that someone will always be luckier than you and it will be demoralizing.
That said, what I'm doing is creating a baseline skill or two (groundwork in this case) throw out any uma that doesn't have groundwork, while doing this run cards that have good universal skills like focus for a groundwork parent, then get pickier, maybe you only take 2* groundwork parent, maybe you only save an uma that has groundwork + more relevant whites than their parents had, you keep improving the line.
The tricky part is cms favor specific targeted skills (usually greens and some timing related ones) so every cm you will end up rushing up another parent to get all the relevant greens etc
It's tough. Not sure there is a better way but this has to be better than just throwing cards together and praying for a godly parent, but a massive timesink.
