The normal sequence of events is evidence enough that Kris is talking to Carol and she comes to the rescue when Kris loses control of the situation. That doesn't need to be reiterated on the Weird Route, and there's other reasonable explanations for why she shows up without Kris telling her. Asgore could have called her, he caught Susie in the living room with the guitar and kept her busy until Carol showed up. She might have even decided to come on her own if Kris stopped responding to her calls because of what we did.
The weird route ending still confirms outright that Carol has Kris's number and calls him in the middle of the night to leave an ominous message about his plans for tomorrow, which would be very strange if she wasn't conspiring with him.

My main issue is that it feels like Noelle started out only being horny for Susie, and then Toby built off of her from there.
Aside from like 3 lines in chapter 1, her getting flustered at Susie is the only thing we see her doing until she and Kris get separated from the rest of the gang.
It really should have been backwards. Establish who she is, and her past with Kris, and maybe hint at how she's feeling uneasy around Susie, then show that it's not just fear for the bully, it's some sort of admiration.

I'm desperately hoping that Noelle's affection is nothing more than just latching on to someone who's strong enough to protect her because being strong herself scares her. Susie is the closest one in personality to Dess, so there's also that familiar aspect of her. Noelle might be projecting more nuance onto Susie than she actually has.
She even got Susie to play her sister's guitar before even asking if she knows how.

I've got a tiny bit of hope given just how dismissive Susie seems of Noelle's feelings. Especially in chapter 4. From one end, I just see Susie hanging out with a fellow Dark World adventurer, but from the other end, I see Noelle desperately trying to replace her missing sister, and maybe find someone to latch onto for protection.

I haven't done weird route, but I know a lot about it. She latches onto Kris just as easily when it seems like he can fill that same role of protector, So maybe that's where the whole "Choices don't matter" thing will end up in the normal route. Either friendzoning Susie after coming to terms with Dess' disappearance, and her issues, or figuring out that her affection for Susie is only skin deep, but Kris and her have something more special.

The patients in the chapter 4 egg room are drawing trees. Before Kris draws a tree they first draw something chaotic that probably represents their trauma. The patients are literally being taught to draw a tree over their trauma so that they can't see it. So, the tree in front of the egg man is imaginary. There never was a tree. Kris just doesn't want to see the eggman because it's traumatic, and has learned to imagine a tree in front of the eggman so that they don't have to see him.

Re-read the scene, every time he tries to draw it he subconsciously fucks up and starts over on a new page, and only get the misshapen blob once all the lines on all the pages are overlayed together, THEN draws a tree over it. I felt that ch2 is the absolute peak of deltatune combining fun puzzles, fun interactions, music, combat, exploration.
Chapter 3 and 4 feel like if 2 split up the fun lighthearted interaction from the serious action adventure.
I personally liked ch3 the most but that's because I want more fun goofy silly moments and the whole adventure dungeon explorer is whatever. Clearly not everyone has my taste and they prefer 4 over 3.

But yes I feel like 2 should be the standard. A silly villain who periodically shows up, fun interactions, lots of funny moments, hype battles.

Chapter 4 felt too serious and the lack of a big main bad really hurts it. No, the Titan has no personality and Gerson isn't schizo
I fear that the next chapters are going down the same route and while I really enjoy the fucked up snowgrave stuff. I think the other "serious" stuff like the prophecy and stuff is really boring.
