shower pipes!
Archived
hi there, im building a shower and i need guidance.
pic related is the situation (as well as i could represent it)
so besides the toilet i have the water source (a 1/2" valve).
im installing the water heater so i need to take water from the valve (A) to the heater (B), then take the hot water line and a copy of the cold water to the shower (C),Borg through the wall. A little extra task, just next to the shower im gonna install a washing machine, so i need a copy of the cold water line, but it can be done just behind the faucet (C), a top view explains this better(in next post). all the drain part is allready worked out so no worries about that.
1- what material would you use for all the cold pipes? i have worked several times with polyethylene but yeah, i know its not the best here. i have done pvc very little but know how it goes. could get help with someone to do copper but the idea is to bother this person as least as possible. yep im a bit lost on the best approach, i mean the distance from the valve (A) to heater (B) is little so maybe some metal hose? but well guide me
2- for hot water? a friend could maybe help me with PERT pipe.
3- to duplicate the cold water line i guess just use T's no?.
4- in the shower i guess i need something like this to mount the faucet:
guess it will depend on what pipe im throwing in, and the faucet is 3/4 so i guess it would be easier to just get this elbow with that output.
oh, important, im going all for functionality here, cheaper option is better, dont care much about aesthetics, this will be used for a year maybe 2 then removed. hope i aint forgetting anything, sorry if english aint the best.
and for metric hommies:
1/2" = 20mm
3/4" = 25mm
