I can't believe everyone is assuming The Knight must be a reindeer just because they have giant reindeer antlers as the most distinct defining feature of their design

A "casual player" did not find out that Dess is lost in the dark by learning about the "UNUSED" text
I understand that it's difficult after four+ years of schizoposting with other Truck Freaks on here but you really ought to consider what a normal person's experience with the game so far would be

>susie can pressure the knight and crack pieces off the knight's sword but cant dent a steel door in the light world
The Knight was holding back and there's no meaningful way to compare the material strength of fantasy world magic evil glass with a real world physical reinforced steel door
>undyne casually bench pressing a car means she would easily dent/tear off said steel door in comparison
No it doesn't
>the only way the knight flies her away as easily, outside of toby obviously not thinking about it, is if undyne never resisted in the first place (both in the dark world, and light world)
If someone larger and stronger than you has physically lifted you off the ground how do you imagine you're leveraging your strength against them to escape the situation?
The Knight is obviously capable of physically overpowering Undyne, and the shadow crystal dialogue implies that she went further and incapacitated Undyne with ice magic before they left the Dark World
Combining this Cinemasins nitpicking with powerscaling shit just comes off as really gay and pedantic

>a single weapon choice doesn't discount literally everything else in the design
Toby could have just made The Black Knife be the sword it's supposed to be the whole time, but instead he chose to have The Knight very conspicuously hold out a baseball bat for you to stare at for three seconds every time you restart the fight. The bat is the most significant element of The Knight's design and is undeniable proof of their strong direct connection to December.
Combined with the reindeer antlers and deer skull, and the abundance of contextual evidence setting up Dess in Chapter 3, we have proof beyond a reasonable doubt that The Knight is a member of the Holiday family and with further examination we can determine that Dess is the only viable candidate among them.

>He's operating in secret because the Dark World situation is extremely fragile and he doesn't want to initiate the Roaring by making Dark Worlds common knowledge.
This is not at all an adequate explanation for why he couldn't have just came home earlier than expected and live in his house with his co-conspirator sibling which would enable them to coordinate anything they're doing much more effectively. Asriel being home from college a week early would not cause The Roaring.
>He is motivated to engage in dangerous and reckless activity by his grief over Dess's disappearance
I'm sure Asriel was as upset at everyone else when it happened but we also have reason to believe he moved on. He dated other girls since Dess and there's no sign of Dess in his room, in contrast to Dess's room still having Asriel's things.
>Toby is surprising you by pointing to a new and interesting character so he can pull the rug out with "lol it's Asriel again"
Fortunately Toby Fox is a better writer than you

Why are you assuming that Carol not being the Knight makes her not the mastermind?

The "helmet" is clearly fused and melded to their skull given how it changes shape along with their entire body and can completely split open to reveal what is obviously a deer's skull when they "roar"
The evidence that it's a "helmet" also comes from a sequence where we try to imagine what The Knight is doing and then Kris makes us think about Jockington instead, describing him in a nest with his "eggs" which are soccer balls. Does Jockington lay soccer ball eggs? Is The Knight really wearing a helmet?
Seems to me like the simplest explanation is that they're just a fucking deer

>you also get the weird wind blowing shit from the bunker and around the holiday mansion during the exit scene.
Wow you're saying a motif relevant to two locations explicitly connected with the Holidays is also connected to The Knight?
Very interesting!

>Speculation
It's completely certain, but sure. Why are you expecting the twist identity of the main antagonist to already be revealed only halfway through the story?
>What happened to her after she got dragged into the bunker.
I don't know anon, we're going to find out later.
>For what?
Because she knows one of the codes to enter the Shelter. Toriel was being targeted because she also knows one of the codes.
They also mention something about "police sacrifice" in Chapter 4.
>The soul still controls Kris, we should know what happened.
How would you know what happened when you weren't looking?
>It's just bad story writing
Why do you think Ralsei would want you to know?
