It just FEELS good to have random shit every month. New teamups, new character, new map every other month. You can go months in OW and the meta and everything else will stay the same with how slow and methodically designed everything is. OW is almost too polished to where it's almost boring because of how little risks they take.
OW devs will take into account every minute detail of a character, how they interact with the game, the maps, and the meta, while Rivals devs will just add shit because it was funny or seemed cool.
I get why someone would prefer OW but I left it for this game for a reason.
