I was looking into camping/hiking and touching grass again, I had an alice pack in the military a long time ago and that was alright, but is there high tec super light stuff out there now that carrys a lot? Id like a full frame pack that is as light as possible that could carry 50-70 lbs. What about actual waterproof? Or do you still need to wrap everything in garbage bags?

do anons have any fabric/fiber recommendations for clothing that protects against the sun and is not plastic?
i assume tighter weaves/knits are also better since there's less air between them, but i also don't want to die of heatstroke

This hasn't really got a thing to do with the outdoors. Actually the bugs in picrel are indoors. But I killed like 40+ of them in two hours late at night when I'm really sick and should be resting for my internship early tomorrow. And I hate the feeling of these bugs dropping from the ceiling and flying into my ear and I need to evaluate what kind of pest threat they are. What are they? Do any of you recognize them? How do I get rid of them?

Summer is arguably the worst /out/ season of them all and these fucking little gnats, flies, mosquitos, etc are to blame. Every other season is bearable without them, but summer is absolutely awful with them divebombing you.

what do you use? me nothing yet. I have rough rocks I want to smooth out. if I see a rock or mineral in something I use my hammer and a flat head to get a piece but I no longer want to be a barbarian so what do you use?

Have you been to nude beach or been casually naked outdoor in other way? I have been a couple time on nude beach. It wasn't eventful to talk much about it but it felt very nice to walk around and lie down in completely natural, unobstructed by anything state.

Why does hiking attract so many trust fund kids? I can't tell you how many people i've met on trails that have told me they have no job and have a trust fund instead. I've never been apart of a hobby that had so many occurrences of this.
