The UNUSED dialogue is clearly from when Dess FIRST became lost in the Dark. It starts in Chapter 1 with her first waking up there.
It's a flashback, showing us bit by bit how Dess loses her mind in her isolation.
ERAM is what Dess is now. Cold and willing to make "dark" remarks and jokes. Similar to how Flowey lost himself over time.

Yes, I know Hero 3 is called "The Prince, Alone in Deepest Dark". But Dess is tomboy enough to pass as a "female prince" archetype.
Like, imagine if that was the original idea of the prophecy. It would have been two sisters, guided back together by the Angel to reunite and go on a grand adventure, with their former human friend facing them for some reason. But the story was found out by Carol/Kris/Dess and they didn't like the implications of what would happen to Noelle by the end, so they made moves to change all the roles.
Then, in Weird Route, we use their own methods to go one step beyond:
