I'm been unemployed for a month and have completely drifted into a nocturnal schedule. Is there a way to fix it other than what was recommended in picrel? I've tried all the ''sleep hygiene'' tips and just generally putting myself in bed at 11pm and waiting for sleep but I literally just stay awake for hours. I've also tried the picrel tip but I ended up staying awake until morning despite not having slept in 24h. I need to get back to normal in time to work again in Nov...

Prior to the modern century the biggest asset was land. If you had land you had wealth. So when land owners and nobility needed to demonstrate their affluence they would show off how much land they had by building large estates surrounded by vast stretches of fenced off land. In a time before the ease of free movement, these nobles spent a lot of time at their properties and so they would do landscaping which was the equivalent of making paper mache out of dollar bills. If you could afford to cultivate land for pure aesthetics it showed you had more wealth that you knew what to do with. To show it all off and to appreciate it nobles invested in and bred horses which only amplified visual status. Horses were expensive, so having parts of your land dedicated to just riding and breeding them was another way of showing off your power. But then globalization happened. Nobles and wealthy merchants could travel across the world and didn't have the time or interest to landscape their various retreats for strolls or horse riding. So they became utilitarian and used land as a way to entertain themselves between buisness or leisurely retreats while still showing off. This is how you got golf and trap shooting, if you could make an entire golf course or a trap shooting range it subtley showed you had a lot of assets to do it. Women however were excluded from such activities, so noble women or the wives of wealthy entrepreneurs did what women could already do with men prior by breeding and ridimg horses.
