You literally have to make it your lifestyle. People's issue is that they can't be consistent. They'll try really hard for a week or two, not notice a difference and then just give up. It will take months before you actually start noticing changes whether it's your body, mood, energy levels etc.
Just some quick pro tips from me that anyone can adjust to outside of sticking to a diet / workout regime:
>the primary liquid you should be consuming is water, don't have any kind of sugary drinks / juice / booze in your house
>limit your takeout meals to once a week at most, delete any kind of delivery app. If your only option for getting it is needing to drive somewhere then that makes it easier to reject and make something at home
>when you go to the store just buy what you set out to, avoid getting yourself a 'treat' like ice-cream, candy, chocolate etc.
>try and be car-lite, if you can feasibly walk or ride a bike somewhere do that instead
>being sedentary is the worst thing you can do, at least try and walk for half an hour a day in combination with the above point
