Brand new player to card games and shadowverse here
It's been a month since release and I've been playing this religiously since launch
Let me tell you about my experience so far
>launch day
immediately get matched against people with shadowverse rex flair and glowing sleeves, get completely destroyed
>rank D and C
I went with forest since it was cheap, never managed to make it past topaz due to lacking in fundamental card games concept skills like why draw is important, what is tempo, etc...
>rank B
switched decks a lot, managed to make it to sapphire. Never, not once did I fight another newbie, everyone had full complete decks and never seem to misplay, all victories I got were due to better draw luck

at this point there is no more quarter. every ranked match is sweaty as fuck, I have not seen a non meta deck or craft in weeks. every victory feels like it was a coin flip away from defeat
I have not experienced a learning period, since minute 1 I have been expected to fight players who had 10 more years of experience than me.
Anyone else new to these sort of games? what was your experience like?
