The "wokeness" is a red flag for misappropriated resources. To put it another way, they worried about nonessential ideological problems instead of whether or not the game is good. The graphics suck, the characters suck, the gameplay sucks, the story sucks but they made sure to have the proper racial and gender ratio of characters so there isn't too many whites, males, or white males.

This is also why games launch broken and buggy.
