>I think you're mistaking "matpat gametheory discussion food" for having a game setting feel actually lived-in
I think you're mistaking how video games actually share their world to you, especially for RPGs. Immersing yourself in that world, talking to people, piecing together what they have to say, that's all part of an actual RPG experience. This isn't like the FNAF lore slop where it's being cryptic on purpose, Deltarune is literally giving you more information so you can understand its world better. The only reason people are going so corkboard theory on all what should be basic story beats is because people are so brainrotted by the thing you assume I'm deeming important.
Learning the backstory or eronious details about characters you've met in a story isn't "gametheory discussion food", it's letting you learn about the character so you can evaluate their place in a story. Games giving hints to hidden things they want you discover is normal game design. A story explaining important concepts and rules to how it works is the absolute minimum, especially in a fantasy setting where there are impossible things happening that need explaining. I am engaging Deltarune as an RPG, not as something to be solved.

In fact I prefer Snowgrave Noelle more. That's also because she kind of becomes some sort of twisted companion to the player, it's lovely.

It doesn't help that the game doesn't encourage engaging with its mechanics. Most people I've seen play have their Storage full of junk items they'll never use, which puts them in situations where they can't pick up items from chests. Others don't even get better equipment, and most are all just plain bad. You have no idea how many people I've seen fight the Titan and just stay still while the Titan unloads its dark balls on their SOUL.

>mfw I just spotted a dnd game on roll20 with a deltarune setting
On one hand, I want to join and be autistic.
On the other hand, the GM has 0 hours played and it's likely going to be a shitshow.
I really wish my friend group was more in the same shit I am, so I wouldn't have to chance it with strangers.

Something in me is hoping she's revealed to be a bad person. I think it would be interesting but that's probably not happening.
Her getting smacked around by Susie would be kino.

Even Noelle appreciators are on your side, anything is better than Suselle.

That doesn't make sense. Violence is arguably the most time consuming part of the game. Enemies are so absurdly tanky past Chapter 1, and it can't just be to account for growing stronger in the Weird Route since even Chapter 3 and 4's enemies take so many turns to kill. ACTs are legitimately the fastest way to deal with enemies. Even when gaining stats from them, they don't go down nearly as quickly as when you make Noelle stronger in the Weird Route. Not to mention your stats get reset upon sealing a fountain.
The actual RPG aspect of the game is heavily restricted because of the pacifism. Not gaining stats from recruiting enemies means every enemy across the whole game needs to account for you not growing stronger, while still growing in difficulty for people who actually choose to fight. Gaining stats from fountains helps, but it then holds you back by bringing your stats back down if they went over what your intended strength level is meant to be for the next chapter. There is no benefit. You literally can't grow stronger than the game allows you.

You're going to need either a time machine or gene splice a skin sample or something I'm afraid. Her eggs are like Christmas trees left up in July.
