There is nothing wrong with being "feminine", and that doesn't make him any less of a boy. That is just how Tails is. I understand how you feel but that particular point goes against the rest of what you're saying about accepting the character without making crazy changes. Tails doesn't need to be "manly" to be cool. He can be cool by just being himself as he already is, and if he's cute and feminine, that is okay, acknowledging this doesn't mean he should be a woman or whatever

I wasn't making any serious argument with the comic, I just posted it cus it's funny that they didn't care and just put humans on South Island
I'm not confused about Westside, I'm more so confused about Knuckles supposedly being alone even though he's able to talk with the small animals, and the random Ice Cap town in Adventure. Those are just contradictory to Knuckles' backstory which is why I ignore them. My point about Westside is that they never explored what the society there is like

I don't think Senoue ever cared for Mega Drive music. Apparently he just always uses the sounds from his preferred sound source, and the "cats" thing is just some of the sounds from there

Tails is a young, humble, kind genius boy who likes machines. He used to get bullied because of his two tails, but seeing Sonic inspired him to see them as a strength. He is easily scared, however he is determined to be cool, so he tries his best even if he doesn't always succeed

When Tails was born, he was a gigachad and also literally Hitler. He owned an entire island which he bombed in order to genocide all birds. Unfortunately doing so gave him PTSD and turned him into a bullied baby, until he started following Sonic as his inspiration. This initially seemed to be good, and Tails was apparently healed of his mental illness, but because of bad writing, Tails relapsed into his bad old habits. Tails learned that Sonic is an asshole who wants all the attention and will never allow him to shine, and so Tails started to act arrogant towards Sonic. With his PTSD now worse than ever, Tails finally accepted that Sonic is the problem, and decided to leave him to have offscreen adventures alone, with the goal of becoming a completely different and unrecognizable person by the time he appears in another game

With Yoshimura I think it was a case of X being a big success (except Japan lol) and the Sonic Team was more involved with supervision and stuff. I don't think ST is as involved in this manga, and it's definitely not as popular as X
