i think the Bible gives the most detailed or plain description of a lot of extremely ancient events, that we can then use to decipher or decode the other myths and legends.
i dont think they were exaggerating about how long some of them lived. somebody had been keeping records of births and deaths, before and after the flood. and the conditions before the flood were better than the world after. and so people lived longer, they aged or matured at a much slower rate so they probably wouldn't even cross the threshold of puberty until over 30 years old as compared to around 11-13 or whatever it is these days. and our 30-40 would be their 200-300 or something. and i also assume they were a bit larger or physically superior than us. everything worked better. and Noah himself lived to be 950 i believe, and 600 of those years were spent before the flood. and he spent over 100 years just building the Ark. safe to assume the trees he was using was superior too, who knows how dense or strong. i imagine he grew or tended to the trees he used before harvesting them. potentially training them as they grew. and his three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth were several hundred years old at the time of the flood too, and also lived for a few hundred after. and their sons also tended to live a bit longer, but that effect tapered and wore off as the "gods" or aryans blended in with the rest of humanity.. on one end of the spectrum was freaky mutants like pygmies. but there was always that remnant that was most similar to "the gods".
and theres the idea of demigods or fallen angels.. they are the sons of Noah. thats what all of that is truly about. Lucifer is Ham's rebellion against Noah in the post flood world / kingdom. and after a time Noahs sons began to intermarry or have children with the "children" of the new world.. those born several generations after the flood who were essentially "mortals" or were unable to live beyond 120 years old.
