In their last financial briefing, Nintendo's CEO mentioned how they are currently looking into buying companies for the purpose of game development and increase their output of software releases.
In that same briefing, Nintendo listed they have ~$14 billion in cash on hand which would be used to make said acquisitions and minimal debt.
Who should Nintendo buy, /v/ and why?
For some context, here are the market caps of various larger video game companies that Nintendo could buy out Microsoft style in a potential hostile takeover:
Ubisoft - $830 Million
Sega - $3.8B
Koei Tecmo - $4.2B
Square Enix Holdings - $7.7B
Capcom - $14B (Nintendo owns a small stake in Capcom already)
Many smaller individual studios/companies would probably only be worth the tens up to 100 million USD.
