Funny that you mention it, Umamusume has a hit manga which is publishing in the same magazine as famous seinen classics such as Kingdom, Usogui, and Vagabond. Everything Young Jump touches turns to gold these days, easily my favorite magazine of all time, shame /a/ is too busy crying about WSJ.

2hu has done multiple variations of this. In general its a series about gimmicks and over the top presentation. Most zeroranger fans are 2hu fans, who are also undertale fans. Hence all the 2hu and undertale references in zeroranger. So I'd suggest going to 2hu from zeroranger, then going to CAVE games, which should be approachable after you've 1cc'd a few 2hus. Then you can mess with autism shit like hellsinker.

Chinese and Korean gacha are so intolerably bad I almost missed out on Umamusume because I assumed they were all terrible. If not for the anime I would not have tried it and completely missed out on this excellent game.

The last 500 chapters of one piece have been pretty much unreadable. They unironically look like they were drawn and written like a drunk toddler. I have no idea what people see in this. It's not even about fun pirate adventures and it's hasn't been for a long time, it's just power scaling and wiki lore dumps.

Every dictionary ever made plus its usage in general human language, plus common sense. If the "clearing the obstacles" bit isn't the most appealing part of the game, then obviously it's a bad game, and obviously it's probably not very replayable. I think the definition will change soon, as humanity is growing dumber and more distant from self-actualization. Obviously the gameplay is the most appealing part of the game, and you're favorite interactive experience movie game won't outlive anything with proper gameplay. People are still gunna be playing Go 1000 years from now and no one is gunna give a shit about Halo any more. Learning and acquiring mastery is the appeal of games.

The genius bit about diablo 2 is the way runewords function. Endgame is people endless burning runes to roll for perfect stats, so there's a robust economy to play around with. PoE does this with orbs, which are similiarly used for crafting, but in a much more complex way. If you take away that element there's no thought behind your actions and all gear that doesn't directly benefit your character becomes worthless. It's basically stripping away 95% of player input. I wouldn't play OSRS offline either, that would be terribly boring.

Because there's not enough room for discovery and optimisation, the challenge isn't there. Games are meant to be won, not "experienced", and it should be fun to win them again and again better than you did last time.
