ok, you are definitely full of shit, there is a singular light medic armor i do own it, but couldn't find it quickly because it has 64 armor instead of 50, and i literally cannot remember the last time i saw someone using it. impossible to miss too, it's hideous like the rest of the medic armors. quite frankly, the most popular armor for a given time period is whichever one just came out most recently. but the old classic suggested armor passives are peak physique, siege ready, fortified, democracy protects, extra padding, scout, and inflammable for DES.

Yakumo comes across as "this is the CHARACTER ACTION character" with no gameplay identity to call his own. He has a couple of NG's core system mechanics but also parries (the mechanic every fucking combo system seems to need in current year), instant weapon switching, Zandatsu, long hangtime on air combos, a weapon selection that's insanely eclectic (a big hammer and a rapier?), and an edgy youthful energy about his design and personality. Nero, V, & Viola all added something distinct to not just their series but the genre as a whole (whether you like playing as them or not), Yakumo doesn't really have anything we haven't seen before. Given he's a greater focus than Ryu, that's likely cascading throughout the whole game's design.
At the end of the day I don't think the game is going to be bad, but I don't think it's very inspired either. Not the trainwreck NG3 was, but still as "trend-chasing" as 3 in the sense that it's doing the juggles and parries and flashy effects everybody associates with action games just like how NG3 was copying 7th gen blockbuster action games and God of War.

Ragebound looks more mechanically engaging but Shinobi just looks like fun. Former will be better for score chasing, the latter for one satisfying playthrough (unless they surprise me). Ironically I think NG4 will probably be closer to that the one satisfying playthrough side of things.
