Not really. Player count has gradually declined over the years but is stable enough to find groups. The Trust System has impacted bot gold income, making botting less efficient and helping stabilize the economy.
Who is left playing the game?
Fashion enjoyers chasing sexy skins, grinders addicted to combat dopamine, and completionists still hunting Mokokos.
Is it worth trying out for new/returning players?
Yes. Two Powerpasses boost characters to 1585, and a Challenge Express carries you to 1680+ (the second kicks in at 1640). Solo Mode raids up to 1660 let you skip gatekeepy groups.
How much p2w?
Whales speedrun ilvls and combat power, but free players can still catch up—grind or swipe, your choice.
Is it censored?
Yes, some specialist class skirts got pants. You’ll live.

New players: Blindly applying in party finder can hit gatekeeping, but chill groups exist. Everyone has revives now, wipes are less brutal, and Mokoko icon shows for characters ≤1689.9 (gives all party members Mokoko leaf, easing gatekeeping). Only the last Act 3 raid at 1680 ilvl ignores it.
