Even after having the mechanics of this explained to me and even though i at least somewhat understand them, these numbers don't feel real. Like they're joke figures, excessive estimations made up for some nefarious purpose. The kill count was what, 110k not counting civilians? That's over 30 billion bullets. Enough to plug everyone on earth thrice and have plenty left over. That's just unreasonable.

I work in the biggest meat producer in my country. One of the smallest factories that is specialized in the chickens kills approximately 120k chickens a day.
I think it depends on person, seeing this didn't change much for me, maybe it would if we wouldn't have to eat meat/dairy but we have to( sure, you can take pills for deficiencies but it only prove that we have to eat them).
Don't know how it works in other countries but the place where they unload is full of violet lamps that stun/confuse animals so they don't even know what is happening for the most part.

Too bad studios will NEVER learn this lesson. Normal people audiences want the fun escapism, not the hard-hitting reality. No one is interested in another movie about the quirky weird freak kid being weird and awkward again. Notice how Tom Cruse movies consistently sold out for 40+ years? People actually like the cool, handsome, witty guy that is good at things and does well. The last ten or so years of the weird awkward freak who fails and has panic attacks never does too great.
People want escapist fantasy, not a reflection of how fucked up they are on screen.
