It's like no one is even asking the question of why this person's grandparents would go out of their way to type up a letter on MS Word and print it out. Would grandparents not just have a sit down conversation with their grandchild (or indeed, the fucking parents)?
No, they would type a letter on A4 paper (then fold it in thirds so they can put it in an envelope because it needs to be posted through the mail system for some reason despite them having physical access to their own grandchildren). And perhaps most importantly of all, the grandparents putting all their evil opinions in writing means that every single point can be dissected on reddit.
No longer is this poster at the mercy of trying to remember all 500 talking points his grandparents brought up with him when they talked about trooning, because they helpfully typed them all into a word processor and printed them off.
When I see posts like this I just click into the comments and scan to see if there's anyone saying "mate this is complete shite", mainly for my own sanity.
