I was going to get one a while back when the bad update initially dropped, but the price of good 360 controllers turned me off more than anything else. That, plus the fact that most games I'd want to play on it can be played somewhere else, and likely better there. The appeal of free games is big, but I can afford most games I'd want to play anyway, so I'd probably spend forever looking for ISOs or whatever the hell you shove into a 360 and then just never play anything.

I've already done that multiple times with other consoles (most recently with the Gamecube because I just got my flippydrive in and I also got a Memcard Pro GC) and I don't see the point of doing it again.

As someone who got cucked out of their own PS4 (which granted I barely used) by a sibling during COVID and couldn't really get the most out of the collection, Omega is really more just to play Wipeout 2048 on a better platform. There seems to be a discernible change in that the vehicles now sound like podracers for some reason and the soundtrack became mostly wubshit (I believe they also took out custom playlists because modern Sony is gay and lame). There was a bug where people could play 2048 ships on HD tracks that sadly got patched, so it's not like a true double-whammy that lets you cross-pollinate the two together despite the similarities.

The other reason to play it would be for VR mode, which is perhaps more for novelty's sake and still implies using Sony's proprietary HMDs. If neither of these sound appealing, then just emulate HD or some shit.

The reason why I wanted to play OPR is because my friend is very new to wargames.
WH40k has never been shittier, and i'd play bolt action/Konflikt 47 over OPR, but like I said before I want to ease my friend into wargaming.
Next thing i'm going to do with him is get him to print out cardstock for his army and see if he enjoys the "Hobby side" of the game as well. He probably will he's an artist.

Early access was quite rocky and already put off a good few KF1 fans. Enemies casually spawning behind from pillars is gay, the cosmetics massively clashed as most really didn't fit the overall aesthetic, but the updates had a few decent ideas like with crossperk weapons, the mutators and a few enemies and bosses that eventually got canonized. E-DARs are certainly polarizing and the later filler reskin weapons were lame, as with the paid DLC weapons falling into the same trapping as KF1 did by the end, but were all pretty much shit anyway.

I'll be generous and call it a milquetoast horde shooter at worst. I did play KF2 a good deal but my friends usually wanted to go back to KF1, which was fair enough. KF3 looks too removed.
