Engagement is the sinews of war nowadays, the market of attention, and for free to play games this includes mainly player retention, they'll never remove things designed on purpose to keep you playing for as long as possible and keep you coming back. The only disadvantage for FOMO to them is that people might get turned off from starting after having missed a ton of shit, which is why some BP stuff has been returning in any long running live service games.
This is also why everything you hate about modern YT exists: people never comment on sensible videos that don't waste your time unless it's a specific tutorial, they will however comment to talk shit on clickbaity or retarded vids which will push the vid to more people in the algorithm, it's also why you have "key dangling" videos because watch time in proportion to vid length is important.
Where is all this nov/dec announcement stuff coming from? Lot of anons nowadays don't even know about Valve Time and actually thought HL3 would be announced at the VGAs, denoting a strong lack of knowledge on how Valve operates (I suspect by people who got into videogames in the last 10 years).

I don't understand why the actual game looks so washed out when one of the only good things from the trailers were the vibrant colors. Bravo Bungie having your test map being a fucking swamp too, love me cyberpunk swamps and sunshade-looking thingamabobs!

I'm the fag from the last thread that asked about this. I bought it, and uuh, it's alright. It's UNBELIEVEABLY cringe, however. I'm talking about straight up anime in written form as far as the content goes, but it's written in a more competent fashion than most other trash novels today, and perhaps more importantly it's not boring so there's that.

Before you throw money at it I would say read the prologue on Amazon, and if you can make it through that without dying from how hard your eyeballs roll back into your head on occasion then you could probably survive the rest since it's just more of that.

Why is the Japanese character wearing a traditional SK outfit? Are they retconning her into being Korean? I'm 99% sure I saw the exact same fit in my Murim webtoons.

Something that is pretty hard to me is that you have to put out a ton of content regularly to get pushed by the algo and satisfy zoomies that browse all day. At best I can do a video once every two weeks if you take into account writing the bullet points, recording, cutting down the audio, adding video and some light editing and making the thumbnail. And that's something I would consider "low effort" since the footage is trailers and online vids instead my own footage. I envy people like Legendary Drops who can just yap about random shit in front of a camera in one shot, put that out and do 1M views.

Remove the card gimmick from Wraith (keep the skill, just change it to another projectile) and introduce a gambler character that throws cards and casino chips and shit and have him be the game's Alchemist.

The meta is disguising your smurfing as "ROAD TO MASTER" content, I've even seen some barely subtle slop "ROAD TO DIAMOND", and these faggots are farming this shit for every new season even if there is no important balance changes. Repeat ad nauseam for each champ on LoL, Apex etc.
To answer another person's question: you don't see this in fighting games because in MOBA your game sense is as if not more important than your mechanics on any given character so you can do well even if you've never touched a character. Fighting games at high levels require practice and building up some muscle memory due to different control scheme, combos etc. I can't be a god at Ryu, switch to Guile and expect to perform at the same level.
Duke has by far the most entertaining voice and personality - that unbridled, dopey confidence - of FPS protags, but man do I turn off the game every time I get to the spaceship. I've never made it past there. Plus Blood has dynamite and Shadow Warrior has a sword and fists.

What the fuck you idiots. Every piece of entertainment in the world competes with Tiktok for people's time. And watching videos about your age group, or pretty girls, pretty girls making comedic skits or echoing opinions you have, is infinitely more instantly gratifying than playing a video game, let alone buying a console. That's it. That's why zoomers aren't buying consoles. Why do that, when they can just go on their phones for a hit of dopamine?

Otome games are on the healthier side of what women partake in.

Kpop, cats, skincare women will commit themselves, to a fanatical degree, to literally anything other than an average guy they know.

Real question but how does thing like this happen? Just hire a native Chinese speaker that lives in China and does actual work like translating books, software, manuals etc. I went to China for work a few years ago and the english level is abysmal in average but there was always one or two people in companies that were fluent in English and even knew how to translate obscure idioms.

What went wrong with the TF2 fanbase? Been there since the Orange Box release, stopped playing shortly after the F2P update and the fanbase then wasn't that different from the beggining, people were having fun, cheeky griefing here and there maybe, the occasional meatspin animated spray but nothing tragic. I do remember servers having a plugin that added a dot at the start of F2P players nicknames though. Also the halo for people who didn't use idle programs or some shit.

>I asked him many times why he cares about imaginary ranks and never got a proper answer.
I have a friend like this and I got so tired with him seething in his corner and bringing the mood down now I deliberately say shit like "shame, that was fun", "gg, next one is the one", "damn so close, good game though" enthusiastically and he'd reply "...right" but he's audibly at a breaking point. I know I shouldn't knowingly taunt him but I legit don't get it: dogshit game where we get obliterated but our team carries us to victory -> he's a happy skipper; overall fun game but we lose because we fumble the last couple of fights -> he's about to punch the screen.
What is Nigita cooking for 1.0? Will we get a real trailer instead of that shitty teaser? Share your most optimistic delusions.

Disingenuous as fuck. You actually think RAW would give a +4 to all shooters in a played out paintball, or a karate match, or a boxing match, etc. Ok, cool interpretation, I guess. Give then +4 to all defenses too then.

Japanese is the only other language besides English I like in music. And if I had to pick a least favorite it'd probably be French, because the one time I listened to a French album I couldn't even focus on the music because I was laughing my ass off the whole time.
