the game isnt bad overall, just has some weird design choices AND IT TOOK SEVEN YEARS TO MAKE
>tons of resource nodes/rock things in areas where when you hit them they fall onto spikes and get destroyed instantly
>the magnet "charm" doesnt even save them, because they get destroyed instantly
>forcing you to learn diagonal pogo, only to then give you an alternative downwards pogo as a reward
>instead of more areas, they focused on more enemy variation, on zones that you can complete in 30 mins and never look back
>enemies spawns in such positions that are directly in the way of some of fastest routes between the maps
>game doesnt mention downwards dash
>game doesnt mention parry/deflect
>game doesnt mention that different "weapons" have special abilities
>game starts with 5 hearts, most everything does 2, so even when you get a mask upgrade you still die in 3 hits, making it esentially pointless
>flying enemies flying a fixed position from you, leading to you being unable to quickly finish them off by rushing them
>most enemies taking 4+ hits, pointlessly increasing games duration

My point about Bloodborne was that the entire game is focused around one playstyle. Fast and aggresive. You will play by its rules, you will use silver bullets to parry, you will use the limited weapon selection and weapon arts, and you will play not roll slop. The games enemy and boss design is all crafted around your movement speed, there is bosses in Elden Ring that are straight up just Bloodborne bosses and they are fucking punishing because you're typically much slower in Elden Ring and not every boss can account for every playstyle.
TL;DR Bloodborne has immaculate game design throughout and Elden Ring is much larger but less focused
