Honestly the biggest issue with tablet generals in general is that they're mostly visited by people looking for a deal, the mentally ill, actual shills and people coping about their purchases.
Very rarely does anyone who actually uses or draws with one visit these types of threads, post and contribute to them, because for what reason would you outside of maybe announcing that the tablet you purchased is fine or that you're okay with it even after a few years?
But that's just a drop in the ocean of posts flooded with copy pastes from the archives and generic questions, as most people buy one and stick with it for years on end.

Personally I think if anyone were to make a substitute, you'd probably want to make it into a thread that has more of a wider discussion topic, such as "Drawing Technology General".
It would dilute the discussion away from strictly tablets, but you'd get responses from people who actually own and use them much more often.
