I am the philosopher, amen. I bring you this thread's questions.
>Why does Kris' damage against Tenna increase if you do the sword route?
>What calamity is the shelter supposed to protect the residents of Hometown from?
>Why is Jockington's speech becoming progressively more fucked up?
>Is Alvin in the know about the Roaring Knight conspiracy?
>What is the connection between cats and puppets?
>Why does Kris' damage against Tenna increase if you do the sword route?

The Prophecy IS the ending, that's what it represents in a meta-narrative sense. In a broader sense however, this is also about death.
Deltarune has a central theme of futility, Darkners are futile in their attempts to influence the light-world, they exist in futility until they enter the dark world. For example: When Spamton "Ran Off" from Tenna, neither of them chose that. They didn't even exist yet. That's just how the darkness interperetted what the lightners did with these objects. Even without any FRIEND Shenanigans, the laptop would have always been returned to the library, Spamton and Tenna could never have a relationship. From a meta sense, this is about how fiction cannot affect reality directly; it can only inspire real people to do things. Undertale wasn't about morality and self-defense, it was asking the player to consider fiction more deeply, to immerse themselves in it, and do fiction a favor by taking it seriously and to heart; because fiction can't do anything on its own. Deltarune's the same, the Dark Worlds, works of fiction can't do anything, unless Lightners do these works of fiction a favor and consider them beyond pure utilitarian time-wasting entertainment; consider them as messages worth listening to. Because any attempts by the Fiction itself to change reality will be futile.
Death, is also something we are futile in the face of. There is only one ending to life, death, but Toby's not a pessimist. The ending of life is not what's important. How we live life is important, we will all die one day, all our stories will end, but the important part is doing what's right, the best thing for everyone, because even if we can't change the ending, we can still make things better while we're here.

Am I the Deltarune?
Are (You) the Deltarune?
Is the Deltarune simply the friends we made along the way?

I am the philosopher, amen. I bring you some questions to ponder and discuss.
>Who was behind the curtain in the S-rank room in Chapter 3?
>Why do the Titan Spawn look similar to the Memoryhead Amalgamates when you damage them?
>What does "And last, was the girl. At last, was the girl" mean?
>What was the flying ace with the binoculars in Mancountry looking at that scared it?
>Does the game keep track if you keep skipping the ralsei "imagine what susie's doing" moments?

Very well then, have at you, a question to theorize about:
What do the colors pink and gold represent? Are they perhaps LOVE, and a new variable introduced in Deltarune?
Are pink and gold the colors of freedom? And if so, Why?

I am the philosopher. I leave you some questions to ponder. You do not have to answer all at once, as this thread will go on for much longer. Amen.
>What is the significance behind the weird dancing doorknobs at the starts of chapters 1 and 3?
>What happened to the pair of eyes?
>What *is* Starwalker?
>What happened to Onion-San?
>Who else in the town is involved in the conspiracy?
>Are Gaster and FRIEND in cahoots or in opposition?
>Did Kris have a SOUL prior to the events of the game?
>Why are Berdly's parents unseen as of yet?
>How do the eggs get transferred from the dark world to the light?
>Trees are important, are acorns important as well?
>Why do Catti and Jockington have unique portraits but not talking sounds?
>Is Carol a red herring? Is she secretly evil, or secretly good?
>Will Berdly ever score?
>Does the prophecy account for Snowgrave?

Power always comes at a cost. If you didn't want to pay that toll, why did you seek power?

I am the philosopher. Amen.
Thank you for responding to my questions. I have thus created a most wonderful theory: The two prophecies.
There is a prophecy, and there is an anti-prophecy. The prophecy predicts so much, that it would even predict how to defy, and thus an anti-prophecy is born, the twisted parallel of it. The forbidden path which began with ice. One in which salvation is achieved despite tragedy, one in which salvation is achieved because.
The tale which must be followed, the tail which must not be followed.
These two prophecies existing is why so many of the glass panels in the dark sanctuary do not make sense when ordered up. They are jumbled.
The old man said it himself. To truly free yourself, you must walk between the lines.
I ask you my final question.
Do you understand?
