I don't give a fuck because tanking doesn't work in the NFL. If it did the Browns would be a dynasty.
Ratings are peak, revenues are good, fans are fine with bad teams getting their shit pushed in by good ones, so let the bad teams stay bad

The players also deserve some blame for being so enthused to sit out because they don't give a fuck about regular season games. They treat being in the league like it's just another shit job were you try to get away with as much slacking as possible.
At the risk of having a "get off my lawn" moment, I feel compelled to point out that he previous gens didn't think that way. Jordan and Bird had to be legitimately injured, not hurt, *injured* before they thought about missing a game, because they hated to lose so much that the idea of just forfeiting was a non-starter. Bird came back into a game after breaking his cheekbone (and he won). Stockton played literally every fucking game for like 15 years because it never occurred to him not to. Wilt once averaged more minutes per game than there are minutes per game because he never wanted to sit and apparently didn't need to. Now guys who are already on restricted minutes relative to their predecessors just routinely take powders for general purposes because fuck those tickets you paid for, Kawhi needs another 6 months off so he can be ready for the games that really matter, which aren't the ones you attend, lol.
If the players don't care neither should we.

It was inevitable. At some point all the songs you would really want to do the air guitar thing for had already been done and once you start getting into entire games devoted to single artists the whole thing is becoming increasingly niche. If you give that much of a fuck about learning Metallica's entire catalogue at some point just buying a real guitar makes more sense

I wouldn't say it has poor pacing. Unskippable cutscenes aside, it moves along at a decent pace. It's just longer than it needed to be so even though you make steady progress it feels like a bit of a slog by the end.
I still like the game and its not like it's some 100+ hour JRPG time sink but honestly if they cut like 40% of the content out I think it would basically be the same experience

It's no surprise horror movies were such coombait. If you were going to get an R rating for the gore anyway no point in being stingy with tits and ass.

I'm actually a Snyder defender in a lot of cases but his color grading lived down to the meme sometimes.

Everyone's life eventually goes to shit at some point. Look at what happened to Gene Hackman. He was hardworking rich, famous, had a family, and in the end he was sitting in his mansion slowly starving to death because he was too riddled with alzheimer's to remember to feed himself or notice his wife died. All success and happiness is temporary. Everyone's life becomes a catastrophe if you wait long enough

This. Women love to complain about the results of their own choices as if they were arbitrary events beyond their control, like being struck by lightning or something. Almost every woman I know who complains about her husband is complaining about shit he was doing before they married which she should have expected to continue.
>marry an adulterer / liar / alcoholic / abuser /deadbeat
>he cheats / lies / drinks / hits / doesn't work
>how could this happen to me it's so unexpected
Although I'll give her credit for at least seeming to realize that public bickering is undignified for a first lady and mostly not whining in public. Everyone assumes she's got some sort of beef but there's been no overt drama

It seems like a defense-first team is fucked in the modern NFL, but didn't we just see the Chiefs make back-to-back owls with meh offenses and elite defenses? People kind of underplayed it because the Mahomes slurping obliges them to give him credit for everything but they were winning because Spagnuolo clamped down opposing offenses and their own offense could score just enough when it mattered. They scored more than 30 one time in the past two playoffs and won the AFCCG against the Ravens with 17 whole points. It can be done.
The Steelers are clearly hoping Rodgers is his usual turnover-adverse self and ups their red zone efficiency but they're probably not thinking he's putting up 3 touchdowns per game. They're going to try to win ugly. I wouldn't bet on it vs. the field but it's not the craziest idea

If you were just signing him as a free agent, maybe. But if you have to hand over significant assets for the one respectable year he has left it's not worth it
Do you really want to be the guy who traded multiple players and #1 picks so you could pay LeBron $50+ mil to deceptively load manage his way through his final season, lose in the second round and then blame you for not building a better roster with the nonexistent cap space he left you?

If you're a manufactured fad then the people who manufactured you make the money, because what are you going to do, walk away and take the other nonexistent offers? These "artists" get heemed at the negotiating table because they have no leverage because there's 100 million other attractive people with c-minus talent who can take their place and be cogs in the machine.
If this chick is actually talented and supposedly already famous why is her career dead? The Rolling Stones are 5,000 years old and can still sell out arenas. Madonna is an insane bogged hag and she still sells tickets. If you're forgotten after your pop band breaks up it's because your popularity was a mirage and you were just being shilled by your company.

>Directional whipping made subweapons useless
Directional whipping was only as useful as the range of the whip. It didn't render subweapons useless, it just made them ranged secondary weapons which is what they were supposed to be to begin with. Having to lean on them so heavily in the previous games was a flaw because it meant if you didn't have the right supweapon on the right level you were kind of fucked.
Directional whipping isn't OP, it's just not gimped

The league didn't even have to rig the finals, Dallas was doomed once Kyrie had to play in Boston because he's a weakminded bitch. Of course, they still gave Boston a ridiculous whistle anyway because it's not like they have any officials who can call fair games

The thing about the LOTR trilogy is that its merits depend entirely on whether you evaluate it as films or as an adaptation. Because just in reference to other movies, they're fucking kino. They set a new standard that most films still fail to live up to. And you have to remember how bad things *could* have been. Jackson pitched Disney on 2 films and they told him to cram it all into one. New line bet their entire studio on it. Us getting 3 3 hour films with most of the story intact, an actual adequate budget, a fully CGI Gollum that actually worked as a character and not a single miscasting for the sake of political correctness was the best deal we could possibly hope for.
The unfortunate reality is that an actual, fully faithful adaptation would be way too fucking niche for the budget these sort of films required. Fellowship with all the Bag End scenes and Farmer Maggot and Tom Bombadil and Bill the Pony's backstory is a much weirder, way less pleb-friendly 10-hour tv series by itself and they weren't making those kinds of shows on television then. The only way to get viable 3 hour theatrical cuts was to edit the shit out of the books and leave just the essential stuff in which is mostly what they did.
My real grievance with the LOTR films isn't that they edited things out, which is just something that was always going to happen, but the parts where they substituted some new material to "modernize" the film or to condense parts. Anything that Boyens wrote instead of Tolkien is incongruous and anachronistic. Characters are misrepresented, dialogue is simplified and dumbed down. It's her doing a bad impression of Tolkien's characters or in the case of someone like Gimli just completely Flanderizing them. But, again, that's part of the devil's bargain you make once you accept anything other than a 1:1 adaptation. If Philippa Boyens was as good a fantasy writer as Tolkien she'd be writing her own popular series instead of bastardizing someone else's.

I imagine the original game boy components are so far removed from what a remaster would need to be for modern consoles that the games would essentially have to be recreated from scratch, and the link mechanic or whatever it was called wouldn't really translate at all.
