Because it's fucking gross. It's the same logic transgenders use to try and indoctrinate vulnerable groups into their circle. People who live alternate lifestyles should *not* try to push it onto others or make others accept it, there needs to be a degree of self-awareness and a desire to maintain the function of society as a whole rather than pulling at threads to unravel it so that you're not "alternative" any longer. I think it should be perfectly acceptable for a brother and sister to be together, obviously that is not the case and society at large will not budge on this matter in my lifetime, so the most sane option is to live quietly and not push it in people's faces because it's insanely disrespectful to try and force people to accept you. More than that, I don't encourage other people to pursue such a lifestyle because it doesn't allow for individual circumstances, and what works for one person will ruin another person's life all because they got gaslit into living in an alternate dimension instead of reality.
