I imagine Weird Route is (You) being able to expand your control upon Kris, to the point that you can even control them while outside of their body. It's why Kris takes more drastic measures to stop themselves from saying shit they don't want to say in the Weird Route. In the scene you mentioned where Kris bites their hand, they'd otherwise just cough in a normal route.

I've got no idea what the point of doing a speedrun on Deltarune of all games is. It's only been out for weeks, so a lot of people just won't tune in because of spoilers and the speedruns are doomed to be unoptimized as shit (as evidenced by the speedrunner needing the Mantle in the first place).

The Deltarune fanbase outside of these threads is fucking exhausting. Everybody's still hung up on the "holy shit the player is a heckin' eldritch abomination possessing Kris and they can never forgive us for what we do to them!!" when it's been revealed that:

It's funny because all the new Chapters indicate that Kris is voluntarily letting themselves get controlled by the SOUL so it can seal the Fountains. If anything, Kris is the one using the player to achieve their goals. The puppet shit regarding Spamton wasn't talking about our control over Kris, it was talking about Carol's control over Kris. Spamton, too, was led astray by a voice on the phone bringing him ruin.
