Benchracers here will disagree, but the Italians are the single-only nation on this planet to have imbued genuine soul into their cars. Their cars are imperfect but have character, unlike the sterile and autistic Germans. They have style and elegance, unlike the vulgar and rough Americans. They focus on on the exhilarating experience, unlike the bean-counting lifelessness of Japanese cars. Sure, they may not be reliable. They may not hit the top of the benchracing spec sheets. But stepping into a Lancia, an Alfa Romeo, a Ferrari, once can't hope to ignore the fact that the car was first most designed as a passion, and not simply a consumer product like any other. After all, aren't we all enthusiasts on this board, should we not seek the most sovlful car?
