Thats barely any time at all. You get better slowly over time as you understand the game more. There is also unlocking potential. The main way you "pay to win" is cards but people have gotten good enough cards to be able to make solid Umas that win PvP. At this point, you should focus on other things. Grab trophies and just keep playing.

Sparks are just luck. Borrow someone's 9 Star spark and hope you get one eventually. They will add systems later that make it easier. As for sparking, other anons can correct me, but its only necessary for cards and probably only for the really good ones (like Kitisan Black). It's not like Mihoyo's games where you can only get shit on the banner. Everything is added to the pool. This goes for the Umas and cards. Id say if you are rolling for Umas, try to have 30K (or about 28.5K if you have any paid Carats which you can get from the monthly pass) but most likely you don't need to spend them all. More copies means you get slightly more stats so unless you are a whale or REALLY like an Uma, get the one you want and bounce. As for cards, if you have a solid deck then you can wait. I consistently make B+ (and even an A) with a fucking R card, but I'm hardcore saving. If you want to get powerful through the gacha, it's all about cards. You don't even need the SSRs, max broken Gold cards a great too.

But just enjoy the game. Its a marathon not a sprint
