bombed out roach nest theory holds true. Overwatch 2 was a massive improvement over what the game had begun, it started going down hill beginning with S13.
Also all of these streamers who rose from the ashes of Overwatch are truly fucking awful: Aspen/Eskay/Fats, just... awful. People are rage/hate posting because the game is unironically fucking dying and people are too afraid to admit it. The game isn't in a renaissance, it's actively declining by almost every metric.
I'm not having more fun now that perks and stadium in the game, all it did was add needless complexity and give me stuff I could never even dream of asking for because of how much of a stretch it would be for the games identity.
The real problem is that we have idiots like Flats/Aspen who constantly inflate these developers egos because they exist in a toxic ecosystem where this weird type of subservience is rewarded with early access and being flown out to events.
I am sick and tired of what this game has become, and I'm afraid that if they sunset Stadium and remove perks it will kill the game; but at the same token, I think that's the only option to mitigate the damage they've done so far. Players are leaving at dramatic and record pace because this isn't the game people remember.
