We need to go on a quest to find the twilight dragon, the cursed wave approaches.
God this game was so good for atmosphere and immersion. The fact that some of the NPCs had basic arcs as you go through the parts is a nice touch. It is a shame this series is locked up in a Bandai Namco vault. They could do so much with it now.

I'm wanting to give Skies of Arcadia a go. I've never played it before and know nothing about it only that it is a turn based RPG and there is a Dreamcast and GameCube version. Which version should I go with? Either way it will be getting emulated. Is there anything else I need to know going in?

I never really played Goldeneye as a kid, I had Perfect Dark, but I finally played it when it came to Xbox, and I kinda hated it. The game just feels clunky compared to PD and the levels weren't as fun.

It’s ok, definitely worth checking out but it’s not the best point-and-click you’ll ever play. The difficulty and quality of puzzles are rather inconsistent. But the story and characters and setting are interesting enough to make exploring it feel worthwhile.

So this program is definitely a little goofy. It was made by like one Japanese nerd, and some of it isn't intuitive.
You'll have to mess with the "map frame size" and "map margin" settings in this menu, which is in Settings -> Map Settings. There's an instruction manual for it in the Help...

Best Atari 2600 games
I’m interested in learning more about the Atari and where games “came from”. I started with a n64. what games do you think are best? I think it’s interesting learning about where videogames were during my dad’s generation. I know he played games like night driver in the arcade and liked them a lot.


Are the two other Atari consoles the 5000 and the 7000 just basically like the Xbox one and the Xbox one x? Or is it like the Xbox and the Xbox 360?


I remember when my dad bought me a n64 he was playing it a lot the first year or two we had it and it makes a lot more sense when I realize he was playing DOOM on PC and grew up playing Atari stuff or rudimentary arcade games. He was a big breakout fan also.


When I think of the guys making all the great games in the 90s and early 2000s I imagine they were probably just as excited about seeing how far things had progressed and what was possible to create “now”.

Who else likes House of the dead 1 better than 2?
Many hail HotD2 as the superior one but I honestly dont like the setting that much.
Goldman building is probably the only part I liked.
The original HotD just feels a much creeper game and I think its the only scary HotD.
The zombies also looks the most unnerving. Like the axe dude of 1 scared me as a kid but 2's looks like some dude on meth.
Such a shame Sega lost the fucking source code so the 3 games arent available on Wii.

I had a good time playing VI and got quite far but never finished, it seems like it has a lot of potential and is closer to the Ultima I know and love best: Ultima Online. I'm sure there are still some servers up but they're probably a shadow of their former selves.

Microsoft were fucking faggots for discontinuing and shutting off Xbox live for the original Xbox but NOT making it so halo 2 could be played online on the 360. That was their flagship game. One of my earliest clues that Microsoft was shit.

Chapter 2 is the weakest chapter but still good. Chapter 3 is fun because it is an escort mission where you are the escorted person. It is fun to survive as a little helpless monkey and have trouble against enemies that Duster and Kumatira have no issue with. I wish Salsa was in the party more.

Did going multiplat ruin Sonic Heroes?

According to legend, Sonic Heroes was originally going to be on Gamecube and XBox only. However, Sony told SEGA the same thing they had told Capcom numerous times: “Release this on Playstation 2 or you'll never be allowed to release games on a Sony brand console ever again”. The PS2 was the dominant console that generation and being prevented from releasing titles on it could doom a company. However, SEGA was terrible at programming for the PS2. They had even produced a number of Dreamcast titles in the past that flat-out could not be done on PS2. But now, SEGA had to take a title they had already partially finished and move it from it's own proprietary engine to something that could easily be ported to all three consoles: Renderware. This sudden engine shift probably put them far behind schedule and messed up any chance to really polish the game as much as it needed to be. This caused SEGA to produce yet another sub-Adventure title.
