What are some of the best games that emphasize on this kind of progression?

Could you please recommend me some games where I could Rp as Judge Holden from Blood Meridian? I already tried Baldur's gate 3, but it ain't enough. I want to kill Injuns and Niggers. I was considering New Vegas. Or even Morrowind/ Oblivion or Skyrim with mods. But I'm running out of options.

Is this worth playing as a single player game. I’ve heard a lot of people say the game isn’t good without the multiplayer. I have no friends so that’s not an option.

Why do all these giant modding projects end up like this?

I finally tried siege of dragonspear after being repeatedly told it was the worst abomination ever made. Its not terrible, in fact I think it's pretty good. it feels like a nice way to change things up after playing through all of bg1, good fights that challenge my character and the story is serviceable. Anyone else actually played it?

These are OBJECTIVELY the best class combinations in both games. Feel free to argue which is the best girl, planet, game, soundtrack, character, story etc but there will be NO arguing about class combinations.

These two could beat the game together.

First of all, Motomu Toriyama is too busy with FF7 Remake Part 3 at the moment. Secondly, the XIII trilogy is pretty controversial among finalfantasyfags, even XII is more popular than the XIII trilogy (hence the Zodiac Age re-release).

Is this the best way to do a modern JRPG overworld? Modern JRPG style connected zones but when you use a boat or fly you go to a traditional overworld to go to different ports and places you can't get to via the connected areas.
That way the world doesn't feel small and boxed in like modern Tales games do

I just picked this game up because I saw there was a DLC for Sakuna and I love the rice goddess loli. Is it any good? I've only played RF4 and I loved it a lot, spent 100+ hours in it.

I used to play on some PWs back in 2003 to 2011 or so. I see NWN is back on Steam but the PWs I'm used to are phased out. I'd like to get back into it so if anyone has a lay of the land it would be appreciated. I guess I'm looking for something community/clan based without a lot of the gay RP shit. It was nice having a group of people separate from friends and coworkers to hang with sometimes.

Do you really need casters, or could you get by with alchemists/inquisitors, maybe a kineticist if necessary?

Opinions on their games (Age of Decadence, Colony Ship) ? I quite like their design philosophy for choices and consequences, especially making pacifist playthroughs viable.
On the other hand, there's barely any leeway in your builds and combat is punishing but not very rewarding. Some of their systems feel a bit antiquated too, the way encounters work in Colony Ship for example (stealth has no use outside of specific sections in the game, most maps are very small with little cover etc.).

Speaking of Colony Ship and stealth, there's one section where you can sneak by a couple of thugs, if you come back after a successful sneak to confront them (you're going through that area several times), the game breaks the 4th wall about farming skill points. I legit did not know if that was supposed to be a genuine joke or if it was a manifestation of the devs' autism.

ITT: NPC/enemy voice lines that are forever stuck in your head. Especially generic lines that weren't supposed to be memorable but live in your head anyway.

So, what should I expect out of Final Fantasy XVII?

>the fighter is significantly sturdier and less likely to just be randomly taken out compared to spellcaster
>depending on the game spellcaster may be tankier but that requires micromanaging lots of buffs and spells whereas the fighter is just always dependably tanky
>the fighter typically has the best and most flavorful items (magic weapons and armor)
>stealth playstyles and magic playstyles in fantasy rpgs make you spend more real time and energy to get the same results. the warrior classes have the best fun to time ratio

Why is this game so underrated? Also what's the point of rolling Ranger and Berserker? Never picked these classes at all on any playthrough.

How is there not a single thread??!! are you not existed about the powerful Electron engine becoming popularized leading to incredible free content?

Why don't more RPGs have condition based loot drops like in Etrian Odyssey? How usable is armor after looting it from a corpse? Wouldn't needing to kill an enemy in specific way be more interesting than a random chance to drop Goblin ears? There are RPGs that punish players for winning encounters using a petrification spell by giving with no exp. Why not have petrification spells allow for full item recovery?

Why does this game have such good stories?
Played this as a single player RPG and it BTFO every other (rpg) game I've played.

A little late, but Tales of Vesperia had its 17th anniversary a day ago!
Definitely one of the best action rpgs around, and with the Definite Edition certainly the game with the most content to play in the series

Considering how successful and critically acclaimed it was, it's weird that /vrpg/ never talks about this game.

Why do none of your choices in quest in Morrowind matter?
GUILD
Your choice is to kill everyone and become leader of one guild, or do like 2 more easy quests and become leader of all guilds. This is not a real choice.
MAIN QUEST
Your choice is to kill vivec and skip 90% of the game or just do the quest line normally. This is not a real choice.
HOUSE
Your choice is to become a wizard and get easy access to all the best armor, vendors, and spells in the game, or you can pick two houses that were dropped halfway through their design. This is not a real choice.

These are your only 3 major quest choices in all of morrowind. Additionally, character builds do not matter. You need minimal stats to cast every important utility spell in the game and using enchanted items, which have no stat or skill req, will easily outpace a dedicated caster. Markmanship doesn't start paying out until skill level 70 because they had to attempt to balance a game where you could simply fly away from every encounter. You can cap every important stat for both melee and casting very early in the game, and have plenty of time to max out every other stat. Itemization does not matter. Medium and heavy armor are just objectively worthless and slow you down. Weapons merely exists to serve as a quicker tool to one shot things when you cannot be bothered to cast for.

This just barely seems like a game to me, let alone an RPG. It's more like a hiking simulator, but I don't really see the merit in such games as I could just load up google street maps and walk around, and would see much more interesting things. Additionally, mods like Tamriel Rebuilt seem to exacerbate morrowind's problems even further, but seem to recieve universal praise here, with people sometimes even linking to the discord or subreddit. This is all very confusing to me. If you ask genuine questions about the quality of the game your post gets reported or someone just throws a tantrum full of disinfo and leaves the thread forever.
